. . Chicago Bears. 3. player. 57.

Jonathan Allen, DT from Alabama:

Something that scares me about Jonathan Allen are the shoulder issues that he’s dealing with. Playing such a physical positions such as a 34DE or 43DT could hurt the longevity of his career. Putting that aside, he’s my second best player in the draft and his burst off the line of scrimmage is something that Chicago Bears need.

Not only is his initial burst impressive but Allen has a rare combination of power and speed. His hands are impressive and his motor never stops. It’ll be interesting to see what he does without having so much talent around him but he should still be a productive player at the next level. Having Allen clogging the middle for the Bears defensive front with Leonard Floyd rushing off the edge could lead to some very steady production.

Marshon Lattimore, CB from Ohio State:

What the Bears are working with at the cornerback position right now isn’t good. They recently cut Tracy Porter and look thinner at the position than ever before. Some would consider this a reach with the hamstring history Lattimore has had but I think he’s a terrific value for the selection.

Solid hip rotation and has the ability to mirror receivers. He has unlimited upside and with his ball skills, he’s an intriguing selection for a team that plays in such a pass-happy division.

Jamal Adams, S from LSU:

It’s no secret the Chicago Bears are still looking to find ways to improve their defense. Jamal Adams has the leadership skills and on-the-field talent that could lead to many years of success. He’s even stated that he’s the draft’s best player and he could very well be right.

While I think he’ll be on the board, I have hard time believing that the Bears can pass him up. Put him on the field and he can succeed. He tracks the ball well when it’s in the air, tackling machine across the middle of the field with flexible range and has the ability to match up on anyone he covers.

In a division that has Matthew Stafford and Aaron Rodgers, he could become a nightmare for them and become a huge difference maker in the amount of points scored on this defense.
