Much like the previous slide, this is a “depth in the trenches” pick. Cameron Tom has the size to play center at the next level but he might benefit with a move to guard. While Graham Glasgow is slated to start at left guard for the Lions, Tom can provide the Lions with depth at both guard and center.

During his time at Southern Miss, he played in 49 career games. He handles himself well against the bulrush and has experience in a quick-paced offense. Mind you, that’s something the Lions do better with Matthew Stafford than anybody else.

Cameron Tom doesn’t do one thing better than the other. He has good days and bad days while run blocking but there’s upside to him in pass protection. This pick shouldn’t be expected to have the ‘starter’ label attached to it but the upside is there for former Golden Eagle.
