Martavis Bryant has yet to be reinstated by Roger Goodell and the No Fun League. So adding a receiver in this draft seems inevitable despite the quiet addition of Justin Hunter in the offseason.

Let’s be honest. the Steelers are the kings of breeding thoroughbred receivers through the draft. So seeing them take one in the draft is always exciting. The Steelers have okay depth at the position but drafting a receiver allows for a safety net just in case things go horribly wrong with Bryant’s reinstatement

Stringfellow has optimal size at 6’2″ and — spoiler alert — is a huge deep ball threat. He consistently wins jump balls and his hands are solid. He could use work as a route runner but his skillset is perfectly tailored to the Steelers high octane offense. Roethlisberger’s time is running out, so give him the horses to chase down that seventh ring.
