Marshon Lattimore . 6. player. 30. The New York Jets defense took a major step back in 2016. Disappointing after such a great 2015. So where did things go wrong? In truth the decay really became most notable thanks to the rapid regression of cornerback Darrelle Revis. Without him in peak form, the secondary became exposed and things sort of snowballed from there. Given the question marks at QB, beefing up the defense should be a priority for the Jets. <p>A great place to start is finding a true cover corner to replace what Revis once brought. Most agree that Marshon Lattimore of Ohio State is the most equipped for that job. A premier athlete at the position. He has the complete tool set from the size and length to the quickness and pure speed. There isn’t a receiver he shouldn’t be able to cover one on one, regardless of the style be it press or zone.
