27. Kansas City Chiefs

All the talk about the quarterbacks is perfectly understandable. It feels more than ever like the Kansas City Chiefs won’t go much further than they have with Alex Smith under center. Even so, it’s never wise to force the issue. Three of the top four QBs already off the board, the odds are they’re giving up way too much talent at other positions to fill a need that isn’t exactly immediate. Odds are they look elsewhere.
One position that was exposed to a degree last season was cornerback. The loss of Sean Smith to free agency loomed larger than anticipated, reducing the effectiveness of Marcus Peters as a result. So of course Kevin King would be a target. In many ways he’s exactly the same player as Smith. A ridiculously long corner with good athleticism dependable coverage ability. His size and length make it hard to attack his area of the field and he can match up with almost anybody.
. CB. Washington. Kevin King . 27. player. 124
