26. New Orleans Saints (via SEA)

15. Everybody knows the New Orleans Saints were carefully biding their time, waiting for a chance to get that long-term quarterback to eventually take over for the great Drew Brees. They’ve tried to manage with later round picks but without much success. Now that they have two 1st round picks in 2017, the odds are greater than ever they’ll take the chance to get that guy. So they make the jump up from #32 to do just that.
Davis Webb represents exactly who they want. A talented player with size, arm strength and intelligence who isn’t quite ready to play. Most agree that given a year or two in development on the bench he can turn into a legitimate starter. What better situation for him than learning behind Brees and under the tutelage of Sean Payton? It’s positively the perfect situation from both perspectives and avoids any sort of controversy.
. QB. Cal. Davis Webb . 26. player
