5th Round

6. player. 57. It might be a bit later than anticipated but the Bears are almost certain to take a quarterback at some point in this draft. The sheer depth of this class means they could still find quality talent even in the middle rounds. Similar to what happened with Jordan Howard last year. Howard Wilson continues to get overlooked in large part because of the ACL injury in 2015. Yet his size, athleticism and ball skills all appeal to what the Bears desire from that position.. CB. Houston. Howard Wilson

7th Round

player. 57. Punters can be so vital and yet so underappreciated to the success of a team. Put it this way. Five of the best defenses in the NFL in 2016 also had five of the best punters on the roster. It’s not a coincidence. Pat O’Donnell has perfected the art of consistent mediocrity. He just hasn’t been able to take that next step in Chicago. Matt Haack could end up being what he should’ve been. Haack is a left-footed boomer who can hit for distance but also hang time. Teams rarely get much in terms of return yardage on him.. P. Arizona State. Matt Haack . 7
