The 10 Best NFL Players Who Weren’t Born In the United States
By Erik Lambert
#2: Jay Ajayi
One of the breakout stars of 2016. Emphasis on the word “breakout.” Ajayi shot out of a cannon for the Miami Dolphins, posting 1,272 yards and eight touchdowns. He averaged 4.9 yards per carry. This despite not topping 50 yards in any of his first five games. In the end he produced three games over over 200 yards and reached his first Pro Bowl, becoming the undisputed feature back for the franchise moving forward. If their offensive line improves, the United Kingdom citizen will do much to drive up popularity in his home country.
#1: Ezekiel Ansah
There is no denying that 2016 was a difficult season for Ezekiel Ansah as he produced just two sacks. This after terrorizing quarterbacks the year before with 14.5. Part of that was injury issues and also the fact he was basically all alone on the defensive line. Ndamukong Suh was gone and teams were free to focus on stopping him. Nonetheless he is the most talent and dangerous foreign-born player in the NFL at present time. Another product of the bountiful West African pipeline out of Ghana.
