#4:  Star Lotulelei

The understated other part of the that strong interior defensive line for the Carolina Panthers. Kawann Short gets the attention for his pass rush skills. Meanwhile Star Lotulelei is one of the their top run defenders who is coming off the best season of his career with 26 tackles, four sacks and a forced fumble. Guys like him don’t get the hype like others but are no less vital to the defenses’ success. Who would’ve thought the Pacific island of Tonga would produce somebody like that.

#3:  Tamba Hali

Liberia is another small nation on the West African coast. Surprisingly English is the national language there, which might explain why Tamba Hali was able to make the transition to American football so well. He’s been one of the best pass rushers in the league for a long time, notching 89.5 sacks and five Pro Bowls in his career. He has a chance to become just the 32nd man in league history to get 100 sacks. Yet another quality find for Kansas City.
