The 10 Best NFL Players Who Weren’t Born In the United States
By Erik Lambert
#6: Sebastian Vollmer
A few years ago he would’ve been much higher on the list but injuries have dimmed Vollmer’s star a little bit. At one point in time the hulking German-born tackle was one of the best in the NFL. An All-Pro in 2010, he helped the team win Super Bowl XLIX. Another of the New England Patriots’ quality finds from overseas. Vollmer’s true value showed up in his versatility, able to flip-flop between right and left tackle whenever needed.
#5: Brad Wing
The name might not be well known to a lot of football fans and that’s a shame. Quickly and quietly Brad Wing has become one of the best punters in the NFL. Discovered out of Austrailia in 2014, he joined the New York Giants. Since then he has become one of the unsung aces to their defensive success. In 2016 he was the one booting punts that averaged 46.2 yards. He has 230 punts in his career thus far and still has not allowed a single return for a touchdown.
