6. New York Jets

LSU. Jamal Adams . 6. player. 30. Of the course the prominent buzz going around is that the New York Jets have to take a quarterback at #6. No way they’re willing to stick it out with Christian Hackenberg, Josh McCown and Bryce Petty right? The bottom line is it won’t matter. This team is in a clear rebuilding phase. Drafting a rookie QB would not change that. Perhaps the better course of action is to add the best possible players they can grab.
Players who are ready to go. Jamal Adams is one such player. Yeah he’s a safety and that might not be as sexy a pick, but the reality is he’s really good. An enforcer and leader on the back end who gets teammates lined up in the proper spots. He’ll drop down into the box to stop the run, then fall back into coverage against a tight end. He can do all of it and do it well. Best part is he won’t need time to acclimate.
. S
