31. Atlanta Falcons

31. player. 44. The Atlanta Falcons have shown they aren’t afraid to take some gambles every now and again when they feel they’re getting a really good player. Dan Quinn is no stranger to dealing with colorful personalities on defense. His mastery of the Legion of Boom in Seattle was almost legendary. That same confidence did wonders for him in 2016, but the Falcons defense isn’t quite there yet. They need another boost up front.
Malik McDowell may be one of the most physically gifted defensive lineman in this draft. He’s big, long, quick and explosive for his size. When his mind is set to it he can shrug off blockers like so many gnats on his way into the backfield. The problem is teams aren’t sure about his work ethic or passion for the game. Some are worried he’s too lazy. That’s where Quinn comes in. His ability to teach and motivate will be critical to McDowell’s development.
. DE. Michigan State. Malik McDowell
