Marshawn Lynch Visiting with the Oakland Raiders at Team Facility
Marshawn Lynch is still retired, but that won’t stop the Raiders
Marshawn Lynch quietly stepped away from the NFL during the Super Bowl through social media, but we always knew he could come back.
While still property of the Seattle Seahawks Lynch has been heavily connected to his hometown team Oakland Raiders, who need a starting running back.
Lynch has repeatedly reiterated he is retired, but according to recently retired punter Pat McAfee of Barstool Sports the 30-year-old is at the Raiders team facility.
Seattle would need to trade the rights to Lynch over to the Raiders for the running back to sign with the team.
Oakland lost starter Latavius Murray to the Minnesota Vikings in free agency, and currently have DeAndre Washington as their starting back.
In a running back heavy draft class Oakland could find a starter in the first three rounds. Christian McCaffrey, Alvin Kamara, and D’Onta Foreman have been mentioned as potential additions to an already potent Raiders offense.
Lynch is a five-time Pro Bowler with a Super Bowl from the Seahawks. In 127 career games, the power back has 74 rushing touchdowns and led the league in that category in both 2013 and 2014.
