The receiver position has been a draft need for the Chiefs for the past decade, at least. The team is in much better shape at the position this off-season, thanks to the emergence of Tyreek Hill last season. Jeremy Maclin, Chris Conley, and Albert Wilson rounded out the team’s primary pass catchers last year, with fourth-round pick Demarcus Robinson excelling on Special Teams. I don’t believe it makes a ton of sense to draft a receiver in the high or even middle rounds, as I think that Robinson will be moving up on the depth chart going into 2018.

I do believe that adding a bigger-bodied wide out could be useful for the team, as they don’t have a go-to receiver in the red zone. Howard would be competing with De’Anthony Thomas for the 6th receiver spot.

Other 7th round fliers: Trent Taylor WR Louisiana Tech, Zane Gonzalez K Arizona State, Kenny Allen P Michigan, Brenden Langley CB Lamar
