1st Round (via MIA)

QB. Clemson. Deshaun Watson . 22. player. 57. Word persists that the Bears might be seriously considering a move up from the 2nd round in order to go after a possible quarterback they covet. With all due respect to Mike Glennon, everything about his signing says he’s a veteran placeholder until the team can get a youngster they can build around ready. GM Ryan Pace has carefully awaited his opportunity to finally draft one. At last he decides to make his move, and it’s a bold one.
Utilizing their extra 2nd round pick from the earlier trade down, they jump back up in a deal with Miami to grab Clemson star Deshaun Watson. He embodies most what Pace looks for in a QB. He’s smart, cool under pressure, highly competitive, and a leader both on and off the field. Throw in good athleticism and a decent enough arm and the guy just knows how to win football games. Isn’t that the end game for this Bears team?
