3. New York Jets (via CHI)

North Carolina. Mitchell Trubisky . 3. player. 30. Don’t be fooled by the runaround people give. The New York Jets know they need a solution at the quarterback position. Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg have offered zero signs that they can be the quarterback of the future. So the mission should be to find somebody worthwhile that Josh McCown can mentor. Word has been consistent the team loves Mitchell Trubisky out of North Carolina. So to ensure they get their guy, they ship Sheldon Richardson to Chicago in order to swap picks.
Richardson is in the final year of his contract and most feel he was leaving anyway. Now the Jets get the quarterback they covet without having to give up any picks. Trubisky is widely considered the most complete QB in the draft. He’s got the mixture of size, arm strength, accuracy and intelligence to become a high quality starter in the league. His pocket presence and poise under pressure were impressive in 2016 given his relative lack of experience.
. QB
