20. Philadelphia Eagles (via DEN)

CB. Ohio State. Gareon Conley . 20. player. 54. Yes they need to continue adding playmakers on offense but the Philadelphia Eagles did a fine job of that in free agency. They can’t afford to neglect the defense, not with the strength of those passing attacks in the NFC East. Cornerback was a serious concern for them much of last season. They ranked a modest 13th against the pass. It could’ve been a lot worse. Adding guys who can cover is never a bad thing this day and age.
Gareon Conley hasn’t been getting the same press as his teammate Lattimore, but he might be the more technically sound of the Ohio State corners. He’s rarely out of position and doesn’t get flagged very often. He can stay in the hip pocket of receivers down the field and doesn’t seem to struggle in different coverages. Maybe not a premier athlete but a good one. Jim Schwartz will make great use of him right away.
