Davis Webb:  Kansas City Chiefs

He may think he’s going in the 1st round, but that’s unlikely. Davis Webb has plenty of talent but he’s far from ready for the NFL. He’ll need a year at least to get acclimated to running a pro system against pro defenses. Odds are he’ll go somewhere in the 2nd round. The talent is worth the risk by that point. One team that is sure to have interest is the Chiefs. They’ve made three playoff runs with Alex Smith to this point and have just one postseason win to show for it.

That time is approaching where they have to make a decision. How much further can they expect to go with him? It might be time to try something else. Webb would be their sort of solution. A more talented developmental project for Andy Reid to mold while Smith gets one more year. Webb has a similar skill set and style to Nick Foles, whom the Chiefs brought on last season. This might be the sort of gamble that could pay off for them, depending on if they can get him.
