DeShone Kizer:  San Francisco 49ers

All hints have indicated to this point that the 49ers aren’t feeling pressure to address the quarterback position. They feel comfortable with Brian Hoyer for the time being. He’s familiar in with their offense and still just 30-years old. This will allow the team to rebuild the roster. Then again, there are plenty of signs showing they might have eyes for DeShone Kizer. That much was clear from the comments made about and attention paid to him by new GM John Lynch.

The attraction is easy to understand. Kizer is a big, strong and athletically talented young man who is still just 21-years old. Yet he is showing an intelligence and maturity that is rare for people his age. The problem is he may not have been developed properly at Notre Dame, so he’s suffering from consistency issues. Good thing then that the 49ers can afford to be patient. They have Hoyer and head coach Kyle Shanahan to show him the way.
