It seems the consensus about most experts is there are 4-5 quarterbacks in this upcoming 2017 NFL draft that have a real shot at bright pro careers.

There is no telling where they will end up, but it is possible to extrapolate their most likely landing spot based on the current data on hand. With free agency in the rear view mirror, it’s much easier to get a feel for which teams are looking for a quarterback early. That and which ones they might have eyes on. Given these points, it’s time to look at each top prospect and who they’re likely to join next month. Get ready for a few surprises.

Mitchell Trubisky:  Cleveland Browns

It won’t matter that they’ll take Myles Garrett with the #1 pick. Rest assured the Browns will try to find a way to get Trubisky with their second 1st rounder. Even if that means they have to move up in order to do it. They have more than enough ammunition in terms of extra picks to pull it off. That includes two 2nd rounders this year and three in 2018. Sacrificing a few of those in order to get their quarterback of the future would be an easy decision.

For starters he has the talent of a potential franchise quarterback. However, that’s not the primary reason they’ll do it. Trubisky is a hometown kid. He grew up near Cleveland. That city loves building success from its own. Just ask Bernie Kosar and LeBron James. Imagine bringing in another like Trubisky to finally resurrect the Browns into a respectable franchise again. Oh the movies and documentaries they could make about such a story. It’s perfect.
