5th Round

Coming off a shoulder injury and being a bit undersized will drop Jalen Reeves-Maybin down some boards. That’s a shame because when healthy this kid is everywhere. He’s athlete, instincts and fast. He can drop into coverage and also lends great value as a blitzer too. The key will be getting his strength up and making sure the defensive line keeps the bigger offensive linemen from getting to him. If that happens, he’ll feast on ball carriers all day long.. OLB. Tennessee. Jalen Reeves-Maybin . 5. player. 28

6th Round

6. player. 28. It wouldn’t be the Raiders if they didn’t come out of the draft with a wide receiver who can run fast. Amba Etta-Tawo showed plenty of that skill at Syracuse. A true deep threat who can stress defenses down the field. He clearly progressed as 2016 went on, showing more polish to his game with each week. The fear is he might be a one-year wonder. His routes still need a ton of work. If the Raiders can be patient and work him hard, they might have something here.. WR. Syracuse. Amba Etta-Tawo

7th Round

Tennessee State. Jessamen Dunker . 7. player. 28. The interior offensive line for the Raiders is one of the best in the NFL. As it should be with a star like Derek Carr at quarterback. Nonetheless it’s also among the most violent areas on the field. Injuries happen all the time. That makes depth all too important. Jessamen Dunker showed at the Senior Bowl that he has lots of work to do but also that he’s an impressive physical specimen. His technique needs work and adding power will top his agenda. A good depth option who may become a starter down the road.. OG

7th Round (via SEA)

Pennsylvania. Alex Torgersen . 8. player. 28. Reggie McKenzie comes from the Ron Wolf school of NFL front office thinking. That is to say try to take a quarterback every year. Even if it’s in the later rounds. It provides excellent depth and also potential trade assets later on. Alex Torgersen is the latest of those intriguing talents that emerge out of the Ivy League from time to time. He’s got size and a decent arm. Of course he’s also highly intelligent. As he adjusts to NFL speed he could be a fascinating project.. QB
