2nd Round

36. player. 57. The addition of Quintin Demps held plenty of logic behind it. He’s an athletic, instinctive safety who gets his hands on the football for turnovers. That’s exactly what the Bears need. Unfortunately he’s also a short-term solution at 32-years old. Chicago has to think about adding a young option from a strong draft class in order to get that position on a better path in the long run as well. This is where it pays to have high picks in every round.
Whatever happens, do not tell Budda Baker he’s short. He’ll hurt you. In truth the Washington safety is the total package. Just a slightly smaller than normal package. He plays fast and smart, showing the ability to diagnose what an offense is doing and reacting quickly to counter it. He hits hard, tackles well and shows good ball skills when given his opportunities. This is the sort of secondary leader they haven’t had for a decade.
. S. Washington. Budda Baker
