3. Chicago Bears

Track the moves the Chicago Bears have made in free agency thus far. A pattern will soon develop. A couple wide receivers in Kendall Wright and Markus Wheaton. Their new quarterback in Mike Glennon. A veteran safety in Quintin Demps. Two cornerbacks in Marcus Cooper and Prince Amukamara. What do they all have in common? They meet key needs for the team of course, but they also stay well clear of the defensive line. An area with considerable depth questions.
Is it also any coincidence that the top of this draft is loaded with premier defensive line talent? Of course not. Solomon Thomas fits the exact profile of what GM Ryan Pace likes in a 1st round pick: highly athletic for his position, tireless worker, non-stop motor and constantly flashing on tape. Chicago has some things building up front with Leonard Floyd, Akiem Hicks and Eddie Goldman. Throwing a dynamic threat like Thomas into that mix could be a game-changer.
. DE. Stanford.
