29. Green Bay Packers

OLB. Wisconsin. T.J. Watt . 29. player. 49. Getting Nick Perry back was an absolute imperative for the Green Bay Packers. Their pass rush was already in enough trouble after the Carolina Panthers lured away Julius Peppers. Hopes are high that second-year man Kyler Fackrell is ready to step up at outside linebacker but there is no telling. Besides their depth situation was already a concern before Peppers left. Now it’s an unavoidable need they have to address. Likely with an early pick.
Word is the team is taken by local Wisconsin product T.J. Watt. It’s hard not to be. The outside linebacker exhibits many of the same traits his superstar brother J.J. has. He’s long, strong, aggressive, and relentless. The athleticism isn’t a problem for staying at outside linebacker in the pros. He even has that same knack for timing his jumps to deflect quick passes. There is no question he’d make a fine addition to that front seven.
