24. player. 28. It wasn’t hard to see where the Oakland Raiders needed work during their brief playoff appearance. When Brock Osweiler is able to score over 21 points on you, it’s plain that the defense needs help. Sure the loss of Derek Carr hurt but that was just unlucky. To win in the AFC, the Raiders have to build a strong defense. There is no getting around that reality. They have pieces on the edge. Now might be the time to beef up the interior.

Caleb Brantley isn’t the most accomplished defensive tackle in the draft, but he’s definitely the most intriguing. He boasts a unique skill set in that he’s quick enough to be an interior pass rusher but has the lower body strength and anchor to hold up against the run. The issue is he hasn’t been able to unlock his full potential yet, only showing in flashes. That is where Jack Del Rio and his coaching staff must bring it out of him.
. DT. Florida. Caleb Brantley
