21. Detroit Lions

50. Most of free agency has been spent by the Detroit Lions improving their offensive line. Not a bad plan considering Matthew Stafford is the biggest reason they managed to make the playoffs last season. However, they really haven’t don’t much to help the defense. A unit that really fell apart for them down the stretch. If this team isn’t going to prove a one-year wonder last season, they need to put reliable bodies on that side of the ball.
Outside of Darius Slay, the Lions really don’t have anybody at cornerback that opposing offenses fear. That isn’t going to fly in the NFC North. Not with so much speed to contend with at the receiver position. Adoree Jackson proved at USC and again at the scouting combine that he is one of the most athletically gifted defensive backs in the draft. Though undersized, his skill set fits the type of scheme Detroit runs. He can handle man or zone coverages, and has a nose for the football.
. CB. USC. Adoree Jackson . 21. player
