The team saw fit to do a sizable roster purge of their veteran talent. While that’s no unheard of, the fact of the matter is they really don’t have the young prospects to replace them. That’s why they traded back from #6. Not only did they get Joe Haden in the deal, it permitted them to add another valuable piece to the secondary. <p>Jamal Adams isn’t about flash. He’s about substance and he brings it on every snap. A compact, strong safety who embraces the leadership role. He’ll drop in the box to deliver some wicked shots on ball carriers or drop into coverage with tight ends. One of those players who is more than the sum of his parts. Stick him on the back end and let him hunt. New York won’t have to worry too much about teams catching them by surprise.</p>. S
