11. New Orleans Saints

Michigan. Taco Charlton . 11. player. 15. The New Orleans Saints haven’t minced words at all about their draft plans. Everything this year will be about improving the defense. It’s why they traded Brandin Cooks. They’re trying to acquire as much currency as possible to infuse the unit with some talent. They know their window for reaching a Super Bowl is closing. Drew Brees doesn’t have long left. Since the defense is their Achilles heel, it makes perfect sense to attack it early and often.
Pass rush is reportedly topping their agenda. Somebody who can get after the quarterback, taking the burden off the shoulders of Cameron Jordan. Taco Charlton of Michigan has been rising steadily for weeks. The Michigan defensive end broke out last year, posting 10 sacks in just 11 games. He’s big, strong, athletic, explosive and got a lot better as the season went on. His best days are ahead of him if he continues to progress from a technical standpoint.
. DE
