Loser: Houston Texans

It’s hard to gauge whether or not the Texans ultimately win this trade involving Brock Osweiler and Cleveland. The positives were highlighted earlier, but the negatives are also just as abundant.

In moving Osweiler, the Texans had to give Cleveland their second round pick in next years draft, as well as a later round pick.

Draft picks are treated like gold in the NFL and losing a second round pick is never an ideal situation.

Potential backlash from other owners, players, and the league could also be coming regarding the unprecedented trade, where Houston essentially sold a draft pick to Cleveland and got themselves out of a major mistake.

So while clearing the cap space and having a reset at the quarterback position is great, the price was almost overwhelming.
