Winner: Carson Wentz
Philadelphia made three signings that all benefit the young quarterback and his development. Wide receivers Torrey Smith and Alshon Jeffrey give the North Dakota State product his first “real” NFL receiving threats after a year filled with Dorial Green-Beckham and Nelson Agholor.
Now Wentz has someone with great experience who can take the top off of a defense with Smith, and a superstar with Jeffrey.
Having Smith, Jeffrey, Jordan Matthews, and Zach Ertz is a great group for Wentz to work with, and the quarterback expressed his appreciation upon learning of the signings.
Welcome to the squad @TorreySmithWR ! Lets go bro! 👊🏼

The third addition made by Philadelphia is a former first-round pick to help bolster the offensive line depth. Chance Warmack has not lived up to expectations since the Titans drafted him, but he comes to Philadelphia as the backup right guard. He joins a talented group that includes Jason Peters, Jason Kelce, Brandon Brooks, and Lane Johnson.
Between receiving more protection and weapons, Carson Wentz is a big time winner on the first day of the NFL free agency frenzy.
