4th Round

111. player. 57. The tight end class of 2017 is so loaded that there is bound to be one or two names who fall to the middle rounds that shouldn’t. Gerald Everett could be one of them. Partly because he’s from South Alabama (lesser competition) and also he somewhat small hands. This shouldn’t scare the Bears though. He’s one of those en vogue “move” tight ends who create matchup problems with linebackers and safeties thanks to his size and speed combination.. TE. South Alabama. Gerald Everett

4th Round (via BUF)

player. 57. Another loaded class that is going to benefit the Bears. It’s ridiculous how many good corners exist in this group. In a normal draft Chidobe Awuzie would be a 2nd round pick easy. Instead he slips to this spot for no other reason than there are so many quality players in the same group. Awuzie is a tough, athletic and quick corner who is an instant starter in the slot with the capacity to move outside. He’s got enough speed to play man coverage but is also an excellent blitzer.. CB. Colorado. Chidobe Awuzie . 117

4th Round (via PHI)

119. player. 57. One of the under-the-radar prospects in this draft class. Houston is typically known for its defensive backs, but Tyus Bowser has quietly developed a strong following in some draft circle. He’s a quick-twitch athlete with athleticism and explosion. He can rush the passer but is also proficient at dropping into coverage. His measurable traits are average but he’s got those key qualities that can make such things less of an issue. At worst the Bears get themselves a quality rotational pass rusher.. OLB. Houston. Tyus Bowser

4th Round (via PHI)

Ryan Glasgow . 139. player. 57. Sometimes a defense needs less athletic upside and more mean, nasty, and tough guy sort of play. Ryan Glasgow isn’t going to blow away people with his athleticism or explosiveness. That doesn’t mean he lacks value though. The Michigan defensive lineman was a handful for blockers every week. Not only powerful but unrelenting in his determination. He can hold his ground against the run and control the point of attack. Not pretty but he has an important role he can play.. DL. Michigan
