The scouting combine has reached its conclusion, and with it the inevitable changes to how the Chicago Bears will shape their final draft board.

Rest assured there isn’t a person on the planet who knows what this team plans to do when the action gets started in April. In truth not even GM Ryan Pace and the coaching staff know what they’re going to do. The evaluation process is ongoing. All that people know for sure is where the primary roster needs are and potential ways they could be addressed. Here is one that feels like it could be their style.

Listen. The experts will try to hammer the point home over and over again that this quarterback class isn’t ready for the NFL. Too many questions. Teams should just target another position where it’s more of a guarantee. That’s just it though. Guarantees don’t exist in the draft. Every pick is a gamble. The reality for the Chicago Bears is this. Teams that win in this league do so with a quarterback. That is an indisputable fact.
Another indisputable fact? Deshaun Watson was by far the most successful and impressive quarterback for two-straight years in college football. He’s smart, poised, tough, athletic and lauded by teammates and coaches alike for his leadership. He embodies all of the traits that GM Ryan Pace has referenced he looks for from a quarterback including experience and program success. He showed at the combine his arm and accuracy are plenty good enough. Forget common draft procedure. Just take the guy and go win.
. QB. Clemson. Deshaun Watson . 3. player. 57
