25. Houston Texans

player. 10. Bill O’Brien needs an answer at the quarterback position and he needs it yesterday. Unsurprisingly the Brock Osweiler experiment blew up in the teams’ face after less than a season. The former backup was clearly not the man for the job and it ended up costing the Texans a chance to upset New England in the playoffs. This is a team that looks ready to content for a Super Bowl, but they can’t without somebody under center with some ability.
Deshone Kizer struggled at the scouting combine but it’s still clear he is one of the most gifted quarterbacks in the class. He’s a hard worker, boasts a strong arm, can run and understands how to read defenses. His main problem has been ball placement and accuracy. He’s a bit streaky in that regard. Much of it can be tied to his inconsistent footwork. If O’Brien can work with him on it, there is a chance Kizer could be a steal.
. QB. Notre Dame. Deshone Kizer . 25
