12. Carolina Panthers (via CLE)

12. player. 87. The Carolina Panthers are just a different offense and a different team when they’re not able to run the football. In 2015, Jonathan Stewart went to the Pro Bowl and the team went 15-1. Last year the running game was a shadow of its former self and the team missed the playoffs. It’s proof that in order to get the most out of this group, they need to be able to control the line of scrimmage on the ground, allowing Cam Newton to truly sell his read-option fakes.
Leonard Fournette proved at the combine once again just how much of a physical freak of nature he is. Despite weighing 240 lbs, he posted a 4.51 in the 40-yard dash. The absurd mixture of size and speed make him a virtual lock to become a productive starter in the pros. He dominated college football despite opponents knowing he was the only offense LSU had. Put him in the same backfield with Newton? The devastation will be swift and merciless.
. RB. LSU.
