11. New Orleans Saints

11. player. 15. The New Orleans Saints haven’t been shy about declaring their likely draft intentions. They know it’s way past time that they got their defense out of the NFL cellar. In order to do that they need a pass rush. Cameron Jordan is their only proven guy at the moment. Sheldon Rankins still could emerge as a presence in the middle but they can’t afford to let up. Another body who can create pressure on the pocket is sorely needed to take heat off their beleaguered secondary.
Being able to land Solomon Thomas with the 11th pick is a potential godsend. The Stanford defensive end was an absolute nightmare for offensive blockers to deal with last year. Not only is he well-built, strong and deceptively athletic. He’s also utterly relentless. Every single play he’s coming with a full head of steam and doesn’t let up until the whistle. Game plans are often wrecked because of guys like him.
. DE. Stanford. Solomon Thomas
