With a plethora of needs, the Detroit Lions will try to fill them in the 2017 NFL Draft. From defensive line help to playmakers in their secondary. Here are players for the Detroit Lions to consider in the 2017 NFL Draft!

After winning multiple games with late heroic efforts in the fourth quarter from their quarterback, Matthew Stafford, the Detroit Lions finished the 2016 season with nine wins and lost to the Seattle Seahawks in the opening round of the playoffs. Throughout the course of the year, there were many holes on this team’s defense.

From only having three active linebackers for some games to never having a quality cornerback to play opposite of Darius Slay, this is a team that lacks depth and playmakers.

The Detroit Lions didn’t receive any compensatory picks and they officially know where they stand with the official draft order. They have a total of eight draft picks and will need to have another productive draft under Bob Quinn.

The Lions hold the 21st overall selection in this year’s NFL Draft, and it isn’t a bad place for them to be. Detroit may have backed into the playoffs, however, this year created some hope in the Motor City. For Quinn to continue building on the newfound optimism, he has to have a strong first day in the 2017 NFL Draft. Here are three names he should consider with his top pick.
