21. Detroit Lions

21. player. 50. It became apparent as the 2016 season wore on that the Detroit Lions were a one-dimensional team. Most of their success centered around Matthew Stafford. When he didn’t have it, they usually lost. The defense got away with smoke and mirrors at times but it was apparent that outside of a few standouts they were weak on that side of the ball. Cornerback was a particularly sore spot with Darius Slay being their only quality starter.
So why not get him some help. Washington has become quite the defensive back factory of late. Ask Marcus Peters. The next off the assembly line could be Sidney Jones. Built much in the same style as the Chiefs Pro Bowler, he’s a sleek and athletic cover man who sticks to receivers and understands how to play the football in the air. Put him on either side or in the slot and he’ll hold up his end.
. CB. Washington. Sidney Jones
