16. Baltimore Ravens

Michigan State. Malik McDowell . 16. player. 26. The Baltimore Ravens are in a serious conundrum. They aren’t prone to taking risks in the draft but their pass rush and front seven badly need a dynamic playmaker with age and free agency endangering their current depth chart. The 2017 class could be ready to rescue them, but at a degree of calculated risk from a character standpoint. It will come down to how much GM Ozzie Newsome trusts his coaching staff to handle it.
If he believes they can, then Malik McDowell could be a steal. The Michigan State defensive end is followed by accusations of laziness and poor work ethic. Yet when his motor is running he’s a nightmare to stop. His impressive length combined with surprising explosion and quickness make for a devastating pass rusher. He’ll need to add more weight to play that position in Baltimore. Then it’s all about getting him motivated.
. DE
