4th Round

Alabama. Dalvin Tomlinson . 100. player. 57. It’s hard to admit because he’s such a promising young player, but Eddie Goldman may not end up being what Bears fans hoped. He just can’t stay healthy. If that’s the case the team has to think about adding competition at nose tackle. Dalvin Tomlinson doesn’t have the same disruptive ability, but he’s is rock solid in run defense. Teams just struggle running it up the middle when he’s on the field. That is another area Chicago has to shore up.. DT

4th Round (via BUF)

OT. Florida State. Roderick Johnson . 106. player. 57. This draft class has few surefire options at the offensive tackle position. There are some intriguing physical specimens worth long-term investments though. Roderick Johnson is one such type. Big, athletic and long with plenty of starting experience. The amazing thing is he’s just 21-years old. He’s still in the developing phase, mentally and physically. If the Bears are willing to work with him and be patient, he has legitimate left tackle upside.
