NFC SOUTH

DE. Carolina. Mario Addison . 5. player. 44. The Atlanta Falcons were really done in by their inability to pressure Tom Brady late in the Super Bowl. Fatigue had a lot to do with it, but so did their lack of depth at the edge rusher position. Mario Addison has carved out a solid career as that key rotational rusher. The Falcons should know having played against him in Carolina. Even so he should come relatively cheap as he approaches 30-years old but still has gas in the tank.

6. player. 48. There are plenty of areas for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to improve on defense but the secondary remains a priority. Safety remains a significant issue, having rotated through a number of possible starters without success. John Cyprien quietly put together an impressive 2016 campaign with 127 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble. He’s not a coverage safety by any stretch, but his ability to drop into the box and play the run stands out like few others.. S. Jacksonville. John Cyprien

7. player. 15. The New Orleans Saints need help on defense. Period. Doesn’t really matter where they start. Linebacker is certainly as good a place as any. Many people don’t realize how well Zach Brown played for Buffalo last season. Until they look at that stats: 149 tackles, four sacks, two forced fumbles, one interception. He was all over the field and seems to be only getting better. That is the kind of playmaking potential this team is looking for.. ILB. Buffalo. Zach Brown

87. The Carolina Panthers probably didn’t need long to realize they’d made a mistake letting Josh Norman walk last season. Look for them to try correcting that with a surprise aggressive move at cornerback. Trumaine Johnson would be a coup for them. He had a down year in 2016 but had seven interceptions the year before. He’s big, tall, athletic and has spent his entire career in a 4-3 system. He’ll love playing for Ron Rivera behind that front seven.. CB. Los Angeles. Trumaine Johnson . 8. player
