8. Carolina Panthers

8. player. 87. Cam Newton is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, but he’s also one of the most vulnerable. He takes more nasty hits per season than the average and it threatens to shorten his career if he’s not careful. The best way for the Carolina Panthers to help him avoid that problem is with a steady ground attack. Jonathan Stewart proved in 2015 that this offense can be electric when it can run the ball. However, his days may be numbers.
Carolina needs a running back who can handle heavy loads and ease the burden on Newton. Leonard Fournette is the type of talent that doesn’t come around often. Big, strong, fast, nimble and hard to get on the ground once he has a full head of steam. He was a monster at LSU even when opponents were allowed to focus on him. Imagine what will happen when he has an All-Pro quarterback in the same backfield.
. RB. LSU. Leonard Fournette
