27. Kansas City Chiefs

27. player. 124. If the Kansas City Chiefs insist on continuing to use Alex Smith as their quarterback, than their top priority must be to keep feeding the defense with fresh talent. That is how they’re going to win football games. Smith is a game manager extraordinaire. Have a strong enough defense and he’s ideal. With age starting to catch up with their front seven, there is no harm in the team seeking to add more juice in that area.
Malik McDowell is a unique specimen. He has the frame to handle more weight and play defensive end but is quick and explosive enough to play outside linebacker as well. It will come down to where the Chiefs feel he can do the most good. The job of Andy Reid will be keeping him motivated, as sometimes the young man can disappear for long stretches. If the motor is hot though, blockers won’t stand in his way.
. DE. Michigan State.
