13. Arizona Cardinals

QB. Notre Dame. Deshone Kizer . 13. player. 32. Carson Palmer may be returning for another year, but it doesn’t erase the problem the Arizona Cardinals have at quarterback. In a word this team has no future at that position. Nobody who is ready to take over once Palmer hangs it up which likely will be in 2018. That means the time to search for said option is now. If it’s the 2017 draft that they’ll make their play, then it will have to be early given the limited depth in this class.
Lucky for them the board bounces their way. Deshone Kizer embodies the type of quarterback Bruce Arians loves: big, tough, strong arm and deep accuracy. The Cardinals run an offense designed around attack defenses with the big play. Kizer isn’t quite ready with his fundamental development but his talent fits their style in almost every facet. Not to mention he’d bring the added dimension of mobility, which Palmer has not.
