Smith-Schuster isn’t a cut-and-dried prospect, many not exactly touting him as a sure-fire first round selection. I’ve seen reports all across the board analyzing his game, but the overall appearance of his film is positive, good enough to warrant a pick here late in the first. Lost in the shuffle of Dallas’ massive season is the Giants’ ability to still contend in the NFC and be as good as they want to be when Eli Manning is slinging the ball at full strength. He’s an enigma, difficult to understand at times, but there’s a real chance that he still has a legitimate three or four years left in his arm.

The window is still open to win another title in the Manning era — making sure he has the necessary weapons at his disposal is crucial. Smith-Schuster is a natural playmaker who would look nice running routes in the same scheme as OBJ and Sterling Shepard. At the end of the day, the potential for that trio lighting up the stat sheet and giving defensive coordinators fits is more than appealing.
