Notre Dame. Deshone Kizer. 23. player. 10. . QB

It’s no mystery what the Texans’ main focus will be as we enter the off-season. Despite signing a $72 million contract prior to the start of the 2016 season, Brock Osweiler has massively underwhelmed, leading to his benching just a couple of weeks ago. In his place came back-up Tom Savage and while he’s impressed in his limited starts, doesn’t seem to be the long-term option the Texans’ are looking for.

With so many question marks surrounding the position, look for Bill O’Brien and Co. to find the answer they so desperately need. While DeShone Kizer is raw and considered a long-term project, there’s no denying his potential. At 6’4”, 230 lbs, Kizer possesses intriguing size and arm strength. He has enough athleticism to get the job done on the ground and has demonstrated some nice poise in the pocket. He will be a bit of a project and may not be ready right away, but if the Texans are patient, they may finally have an answer at a position that has plagued them for years. Look for Houston to pull the trigger on the young quarterback from Notre Dame.
