8. San Diego Chargers

13. It’s official. The San Diego Chargers have lost every notable offensive weapon in their arsenal to injury. That became clear when Melvin Gordon left the game against Carolina on a cart. Philip Rivers is out of options. Antonio Gates is finally showing his age. Hunter Henry isn’t ready yet and Travis Benjamin was never meant to be the go-to guy. Mike McCoy can’t expect to score point in the NFL without viable targets for his quarterback to utilize.
Thus all they can do is continue to invest. Rivers needs a receiver he can lean on and Mike Williams is the best available in this draft. He’s got the full list of tools: size, strong hands, quickness, decent speed and leaping ability to go up and get the football. Look for him on third downs or in the red zone and he’s going to find a way to bring the ball in. That is what the Chargers have been missing. Williams gives them extra insurance with Keenan Allen and the others.
. WR. Clemson. Mike Williams . 8. player
