CB. Florida. Quincy Wilson . 5. player. 30. Quarterback is a definite need for the New York Jets but there is likely a chance they’ll try to roll in 2017 with either Bryce Petty or Christian Hackenberg. In order to help facilitate that process, the best thing for them to do is improve the defense which has struggled this season. One area that’s taken a big step back is the secondary, in part because of how much Darrelle Revis has regressed at cornerback. That’s a signal to start thinking about replacements.

This draft class is quite rich at that position but it’s difficult to figure out who the best one is. Agreements are hard to come by. In the end Quincy Wilson is the pick. There are plenty of reasons why. He’s a great athlete with fluid agility, speed, length and size. He can follow a top receiver anywhere on the field and doesn’t get beat very often. He’s also got ball skills and solid instinct for being in the right position at the right time. Todd Bowles will find plenty of uses for him.
