4. Chicago Bears

57. There is no crime in the NFL against stockpiling pass rushers. The Chicago Bears selected Leonard Floyd this past year and he looks like he’ll be really good. At the same time he has trouble staying healthy and Willie Young will be 32-years old next season. It might be in the best interests, long-term, for the Bears to add another quality rusher. Often the best defenses are those that can attack the quarterback in waves as this franchise knows all too well.
What makes Derek Barnett such an intriguing selection is his proven production. He has not had fewer than nine sacks in any of his years at Tennessee. He’s also now tied for the most in school history. The man he’s pulled even with? Reggie White. That’s pretty good company to keep for any pass rusher. Barnett is big, strong, and runs with a non-stop motor. He’s got the quickness off the snap and can bend the edge without losing speed.
.
