2. San Francisco 49ers

Myles Garrett . 2. player. 42. Like the Browns, San Francisco needs an answer at quarterback. However, they don’t get the luxury of a choice. This class isn’t strong enough to weigh that decision. With Trubisky off the board, this pick is a no brainer. The 49ers defense hasn’t had a legitimate pass rusher since Aldon Smith left. They can’t be expected to regain their prior form of three years ago until they find somebody to fill that void. Luckily this draft is loaded with such types.
Myles Garrett is the chief of them all. The Texas A&M standout has everything. All the tool. He’s explosive off the snap, strong, big enough to handle large tackles but also fast enough to beat blockers to the edge. He can rush from a variety of different angles and positions and just shows an awareness for how to harass the quarterbacks. There are some minor injury concerns but when he’s on his game, it’s almost impossible to stop him.
. DE. Texas A&M
