Cincinnati Bearcats coaches are no stranger to trick plays, and they pulled out their most unique yet Friday night against Tulsa

Rarely do trick plays ever work in football. But when they do, everyone sees, hears, and talks about it.

Cincinnati pulled off another great stunt Friday night against Tulsa with their own version of a reverse touchdown.

Quarterback Hayden Moore begins the play by throwing a backwards pass to wide receiver Tyler Cogswell. Meanwhile, the Bearcats’ offensive line hits the ground, sending the defenders off towards Cogswell profusely confused.

Cogswell then fires the ball back across the field to his quarterback, who follows the entire offensive line to the endzone.

Now, did the offensive line really have to hit the ground for that play to be successful?

This is not the first time Cincinnati has pulled out a unique play to draw the defense away from the ball. Several years ago the Bearcats used a jump pass by the running back that landed in the arms of Travis Kelce, who took the ball to the house against Syracuse.

This game went to overtime after Tulsa hit a last-second field goal to tie the game at 34 points apiece. Cincinnati blew a 24-7 advantage to Tulsa before the overtime heroics.

Of course, there was confusion with the overtime coin toss and Tulsa tried to dispute the called side. Tulsa would win 40-37 after an overtime touchdown, giving them their ninth win of the season.
